Alvanon is proud to announce Morgan Hilliard from the University of Delaware as our Half-Scale challenge winner!

Morgan recently graduated from the University of Delaware where she studied Apparel Design & Fashion History. Her half-scale challenge design was an extension of her senior collection titled, “Thermochroma”, which was inspired by the scenic views of Yellowstone National Park. Morgan used her own personal photography of the park and turned them into engineered prints to create the fabric for her designs. The collection was made from organic cotton sateen, using digital printing techniques which uses much less water, energy, and resources than traditional methods, providing a more sustainable way to produce the collection.

Olivia Fierro

Olivia attends the University of Delaware with dual studies in Fashion Design & Merchandising. To enhance her education in apparel design she also spent a year at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Throughout her college career she accepted internships in various apparel specialties such as innerwear, children’s wear, womenswear, and retail as well as participating in several clubs on campus that provided her with fashion journalism, photoshoot, and production experience. As a young designer, her goal is to explore as many avenues as possible, learning as much as I can along the way.
