FASHION ENTER
Established in 2006 by Founder and CEO Jenny Holloway, Fashion Enter is a nonprofit, social enterprise, which strives to be a centre of excellence for sampling, grading, pattern making, cutting, toiling, first-fit sampling and mass production for learning and development of skills within the fashion and textiles industry. Fashion Enter is the UK’s largest provider in the country for the Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship programme helping the unemployed to gain much needed stitching skills currently producing 7,500 units per week for major retailers including Asos, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, & TopShop..
On May 28, 2014 Alvanon donated $83,860 (GBP 50,000) worth of technical fit AlvaForms and AlvaBlocks to Fashion Enter increasing speed to market, better fitting clothing, increased demand, and customer loyalty and repeat business. “Alvanon’s donation will enable our sewing professionals and apprentices to size and fit garments accurately and consistently across the production process,’ -Fashion Enter Founder and CEO Jenny Holloway. CEO Janice Wang added, “Fashion Enter is restoring ‘the lost art of the technical’ and this will have a major impact on the UK’s ability to re-build its garment manufacturing sector.”
