North America Children

This series is a response to a seismic shift in children’s sizing standards that has gone unnoticed for many years. It was launched in November of 2018 and includes sizes from Infant – 18 and provides options for Infant, Toddler, Youth Girl, and Youth Boy body shapes.

The input we gathered from key clients was used to help us develop an optimal, commercially viable, solution. The data is telling that the size, shape, and stature of today’s North American kids has changed drastically over the years. There are now new size and fit challenges facing brands today. But there are commercial solutions for development.

North America Extended Size Children

The North America Extended Size Children is a follow up to the Alvanon Standard North America Children series – completing the full size range. Brands can’t afford to ignore the numbers of the extended size market anymore. For retailers, growing kids equates to growing sales.

This series includes sizes ranging from 4-18 and provides options for Girl Slim, Girl Plus, Boy Slim, and Boy Husky body shapes.

This standard rounds out our full catalog of sizing standards for North American populations including Men, Women, and Children.

The North America Women standard includes five size ranges:

Women & Plus Women

The Women sizing standard represents the more commercially traditional forms.

Bold Curve & Bold Curve Plus

The Bold Curve presents a curvier form that aims to provide more inclusive sizing options for previously under-served demographics.

Athletic

The Athletic size range represents a more sculpted form and sizing standard geared towards athletic apparel brands.

Our standards optimally represent the North American male in size and shape at each size in the range. The size set is inclusive from XS to 6XL and provides options for Athletic and Classic body shapes. The new North America Men Standard was released on 21 September, 2021 as part of the 3D Tech Festival, supported by MOTIF.
